Can This French MTB Rider Qualify for Red Bull Rampage?

When Red Bull Rampage first started in 2001, it was almost entirely a North American affair, made up exclusively of US and Canadian riders vying for freeride glory. As the years went by, an ever-growing number international riders joined the ranks, with the likes of France’s Cedric Gracia, Spain’s Andreu Lacondeguy, and Kiwi legend Kelly McGarry taking home the title.

These days, a new crop of international riders have caught the freeride bug, and are pushing the limits of the sport in new ways and in new places. French rider William Robert has his eyes set on joining the action in Utah, and hopes to qualify for a wildcard spot.

Taking advantage of the unique terrain and black dirt in the south of France, Robert gets sendy on his big bike. Check out his Road to Rampage video, and who knows? Maybe we will see him in the Utah start gate in October.
