Cam McCaul Builds and Sessions A 52-Foot Desert Booter

All those massive freeride hits were used to seeing Cam McCaul hit are even more impressive when you learn how much time and effort goes into building and maintaining them. Back in 2017, Cam and his buddy Dusty Wygle put some time into creating a monster 52-foot booter in their favorite secret desert stash. After hitting it a few times, they abandoned it and it sat all by its lonesome out there, collecting dust and whatever else happens to stuff left in the desert.

Cam recalls: “In all honesty, this jump needed more than TLC, it felt abandoned. It needed company. Dusty Wygle and I built this 52-foot-long booter for a video back in 2017. We got a shot each on it and then abandoned it for three years. That's messed up.” So he called up Dusty and they went back to rebuild the jump and restore it to its former glory. With a few Sierra Nevadas in hand, the crew got to work.
