California Resorts are Buried Again

California ski resorts are buried again after another massive snowstorm! Check out the latest snow totals, resort conditions, and where to find the best powder turns before spring fully takes over.

The West Coast just got blanketed by perhaps the last big dump of the season. Spring is here, which means warmer days and the late day slush. But worry not, powder-hounds— there's still time to score some late season freshies before the northern hemisphere fully transitions to summer activities. So, grab your powder skis and get out there!

Here’s how the totals are stacking up from what was a bountiful last few days:

Palisades Tahoe: 48 inches

Kirkwood: 33 inches

Northstar: 32 inches

Tahoe Donner : 21 inches

Donner Ski Ranch: 50 inches

Mammoth Mountain: 23 inches

Sugar Bowl Resort: 56 inches

Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe: 34 inches

Bear Valley: 32 inches

Most resorts will shut off the lifts before the end of April, but Palisades and Mammoth have both ID’d Memorial Day as closing day for the 2024-25 season, though Mammoth is keeping its options open for t-shirt days well into the summer with an auspicious, “at-least,” in reference to May 26 as closing day.
