Bedrock Film Works Creates Space in the Climbing Community

Have you ever opened a climbing guide, been looking at a wall, and seen a route name that just didn't sit well with you? Brazilian climber Maiza Lima had that experience enough times to want to do something about it. Seeing names like "Slavery Wall" didn't feel like a very inviting place to climb. From filmmaker Jules Jimreivat and Bedrock Film Works comes What's in a Name? The film profiles Lima as she finds and bolts new routes with the intention to climb and name them in uplifting and inclusive ways and create space for herself and others in the outdoors. The film is beautifully shot and will leave you wanting more of Lima's story, and frankly, her incredible skill on the wall.
