A home in Hailey, Idaho sustained damage from an avalanche on Monday night. The slide sent snow, debris, and trees through the front door and windows. Luckily, residents weren’t home when the avalanche hit.

The Sawtooth Avalanche center rated avalanche danger as high on Monday due to heavy snowfall and rain at low elevations and sent out a special avalanche warning for all forecast zone. The danger rating has since been raised to extreme. They note to avoid all avalanche terrain and any flat slope exposed to avalanche hazard from above.
