

Authorities Continue Search for Missing Snowboarder at Vail Mountain

Search and rescue crews are intensifying efforts to locate 26-year-old Denver resident Connor Gill, who went missing at Vail Mountain on Friday, February 15, 2025. Gill’s ski pass was last scanned at 8:50 a.m. at the Avanti Express chairlift, and he was reported missing by a friend later that afternoon.
Search Efforts Intensify
Vail Ski Patrol initiated the search on Friday and continued through Saturday night. Vail Mountain Rescue joined the operation on Saturday morning, deploying search dogs and drones after high winds and heavy snowfall subsided.
“The team from Vail Mountain Rescue and Vail Ski Patrol initiated their response based on the party’s last known location and the areas he commonly rode,” the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office stated on Sunday.
Identifying the Missing Snowboarder
Gill was last seen wearing an orange jacket and pants, a grey helmet, and riding a Salomon snowboard. He has brown hair, brown eyes, and is considered an intermediate snowboarder, according to CBS News.
