Arapahoe Basin Will Re-Open Tomorrow May 27

Most years, the skiing at Arapahoe Basin, Colorado just starts to get really fun in the end of May. With other ski resorts closed and snow line creeping ever higher in the backcountry, the party really gets started at A Bay, with slushy spring laps and post-ski tailgate parties at the Beach. Well, if you thought you were going to have to miss out on the fun this year, you’re in luck. Arapahoe Basin announced they will re-open (with some strict rules in place) tomorrow, May 27. It might not be the same experience as in years past, but it's lift-served skiing in Colorado.

A-Basin will only allow 600 skiers and riders on the mountain who have made a reservation beforehand. Those can be made by existing passholders online, or by purchasing a one-day lift ticket online.

From A-Basin:

Reservations are limited and can ONLY be made online. They open at 7:00 p.m. each day and are expected to go fast. You can only book a ski day that is 36 hours (2 days) out, and you can only reserve one day at a time. For example, if you want to visit on Sunday, you need to make your reservation at 7:00 p.m. MDT on Friday (i.e. 36 hours in advance).

- NO RESERVATION, NO ACCESS. A limited number of people will be admitted daily. Do not come if you do not have a pre-booked reservation.

- There are only two ways to ski / ride A-Basin during this time: pre-book a reservation with a valid pass or purchase a day ticket in advance. Can only be done online. See below.

- TAILGATING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Arapahoe Basin staff will actively police the parking lots to ensure compliance with all state, county and company mandates. There are no exceptions.

- BRING A FACE COVERING. You must wear it when you cannot maintain 6 feet of physical distancing outdoors and in designated areas.

- You will be asked to leave if you do not follow all guidelines laid out by Arapahoe Basin, which were developed in conjunction with state and county health authorities.

- Please stay home if you are sick or are considered high risk.

- This is not an experience suitable for beginners. To reduce injury risk, we recommend only experienced skiers/riders. Expect spring conditions.
