Another skier has been evacuated from the Jackson Hole backcountry in the wake of this week's heavy snowfall.  Jon Hunt, 55, of Wilson, was swept down the Zero G Couloir on the south-facing aspect of Rock Springs Canyon.  Luckily, he wasn't buried by the slide, estimated to have been two feet in depth, and was stabilized by ski patrol before being evacuated by Search and Rescue.

Hunt is an employee of the resort, working as a backcountry guide during the winter season.  He suffered a neck injury in the fall, and was treated at St. John's Medical Center following his evacuation.  He has since been transferred to the University of Utah Medical Center for further treatment. Visit the Bridger-Teton Avalanche Center for more information on recent avalanche activity and forecasts.
