Allez Maxime: How Santa Cruz Went Full Lycra

Let’s just say that Santa Cruz isn’t exactly known for its prowess in the XC mountain bike world. I mean, they’re the ones behind some of the best gravity bikes ever made…but a 100mm travel XC race bike? Where did that come from? Of course, the Blur has been around for a few years now, and has proven to be a formidable force in the short travel category, but when did they go full lycra on us? The latest iteration turns out to be the lightest full-suspension bike Santa Cruz has ever made, perfect for the likes of French Olympic MTB racer Maxime Marotte. Besides, Santa Cruz has a few details on how his career got started as a young French Boy Scout.
