Adventure is a Way of Life

Adventure is a Way of Life—for many of us, this title describes our lifestyle. In this short film, Laurent Jamet captures the spirit and hardship of skiing. It’s of special interest because of the equipment the skiers in the film use to make their ascents. Notice the horses at 2:00 and the rope system shortly thereafter.

Jamet was named Best Rookie Director at the 2010 International Freeride Film Festival of Copenhagen (although according to the mainstream media’s coverage of the Olympics that now means park skiing, not big mountain riding). He also filmed Rise (http://www.risethemovie.net). Jamet’s entire webpage is entirely in French, so I can’t tell you much about his other accolades. But I encourage you to find someone who speaks French and have her check it out for you.
