A Fresh Perspective: The Film, Clean Slate by Teton Brown
When Teton Brown hits the mountains, you know the footage is going to be full-throttle. Teton Brown's latest project, the short film Clean Slate, continues that legacy. This isn't just another ski movie. It's an unrelenting, full-throttle pursuit of new terrain and the deepest snow available. Clean Slate is exactly what it sounds like: starting fresh, new season, new zones, and a completely new perspective.
Filming Across Wyoming and Alaska
Much of Clean Slate was filmed in Western Wyoming, where Teton Brown and his crew tackled steep, technical slopes near Jackson Hole. They spent the winter chasing new zones and fresh lines, even as nature refused to make it easy. Warm days, thin snowpack, and limited daylight tested their patience, but those struggles produced some of the film’s most striking moments: snow slicing across rugged ridgelines, powerful ascents, and raw, unfiltered descents.
From there, the team pushed north to Alaska’s Chugach Mountains, setting up at Thompson Pass in mid-April. What began as a ten-day shoot turned into three weeks of waiting for the perfect window. When the conditions finally aligned, they made the most of it, carving through deep powder, tackling steep pitches, and capturing surreal alpine backdrops that showcase the scale and beauty of the range.

Clean Slate is proudly presented by Zag Skis, whose support helped bring Brown’s vision to life from Wyoming to Alaska. Clean Slate is screening in ski towns across the Western U.S. and as part of Alaska’s Northern Aspects Film Tour. Zag Skis is also hosting events in Europe France and Belgium. The online release is expected in early November.
