60-Year-Old Australian Surfer Dies in Shark Attack

A 60-year-old surfer was attacked by a large great white shark at South Kingscliff Beach in New South Wales, Australia over the weekend. Tragically, the man succumbed to his injuries on the beach after being dragged out of the water by rescuers. He was identified as Rob Pedretti of Queensland.

According to local news, the shark stayed around in the waters, harassing other surfers and SAR personnel after the accident. The video above from 9 News Australia shows the shark circling around the area despite being chased by multiple watercraft and a helicopter.
