This is Sämi Ortlieb's 2015 season ski edit, and the Swiss skier – who had a breakout season last year in his first year filming with Level 1 for their awesome film Small World – put together 4:46 of skiing that will make you want to smile, and make you want to ski. Here's six reasons why:
#1: His tricks are unique (and he lands them)

I don't think I've ever seen a ski edit where someone sends a cliff by holding onto the front of their skis and doing a summersault, but it's super rad.
#2: He's having a blast the entire time

Sämi looks like he doesn't take his skis off at any time throughout the year, and yet his stoke is high even in the summer while he's taking slush laps.
#3: The braids

It's difficult to have a unique hairstyle in the ski industry, but Sämi has managed to find one and pull it off. The braids are perfection.

#4: He starts his line inside of a tree

You should never underestimate the value of having a interesting beginning to your line, and Sämi clearly has that figured out. He's thought through every single part of his line, which includes the starting point. #score
#5: The entrance to a jump is a huge hole in the ground

Sure it probably took a whole lot longer to build a jump with an entrance like this, but it's a genius idea, and it makes Sämi's footage stand out.
#6: He's a boss

This is brilliance. 'Nuff said.
