Unity’s Whale provides buoyancy for powder days—and the versatility you need when there’s a shortage of snow. The widest part of the board’s nose is located further back than on a traditional deck, placing it in line with where the board’s nose rocker starts. This aids in initiating turns and shortens the deck’s effective edge, causing it to feel shorter than it truly is. Slight camber from the front foot back to the tail aids in holding an edge and provides pop. As its shape suggests, the Whale provides a playful, surf-like ride. But don’t be fooled—this thing is surprisingly nimble.
