2014 T. Rice Split Horsepower Review

The Specs:

Some splitboards are designed for mellow strolls in the woods.  Lib Tech’s T. Rice Split Horsepower, however, isn’t such a deck.  Travis’s signature splitboard is designed for aggressive riders who terrorize all types of terrain.  The deck’s Magne-Traction provides precise edge-hold while its true twin design ensures it rides equally well in forward and reverse.  By featuring a significant rocker beneath the feet and camber outside of them, the deck’s C2 BTX provides a snappy tip and tail for power and an ample flotation in pow.  Lastly, to keep things light for the ascent and strong for going down, the board features Lib Tech’s Horsepower Construction.  This construction features environmentally-friendly materials—like basalt in lieu of fiberglass and a topsheet made of castor beans—that don’t sacrifice an ounce of performance.  Whether you’re making first descents or throwing down double corks, you can turn to Lib Tech’s T.
