Rocky Mountain Underground or RMU as it’s more commonly known, is a Colorado-based company that prides itself on crafting the best skis possible. Then swoop up a pair of the 2013-2014 RMU Professors. If you were to create a hypothetical model for where this ski likes to spend its time, the Professor would be found off piste 80% of the time and on-piste the remaining 20% of the day.  Consequently, it’s a great touring ski and ready to rip up the backcountry. This scholarly ski has subtle tip and tail rocker, so it's easy to turn in the chop and floats effortlessly in powder. RMU also uses 2.2 mm World Cup sintered bases, which are twice as thick as average bases. As a result, these shredsticks are faster and less prone to base damage and core shots. RMU's signature UHMW sidewall—which is 2.5x thicker than a standard sidewall—also reduces the likelihood of blowing edges. Packed with features and crafted with care, RMU’s Professor is one smart choice.
