DPS labels the Nina as a daily driver. And while this may conjure up images of Honda Civics, the Nina’s performance is more aligned with that of a Porsche. This is due, in part, to DPS’s PaddleTech Geometry, which blends rocker with a variable sidecut. The design aids in initiating turns and provides ample flotation. And thanks to slight camber under the foot, the ski ensures you can charge hard and arch crisp turns. The company offers the Nina with two constructions: Pure3 and Hybrid. The brand’s Pure3—and more expensive construction—features carbon fiber, nanotech resins, and a poplar and x-wood core. DPS’s Hybrid construction uses fiberglass, carbon fiber, and bamboo. The skis can be ordered directly from www.dpsskis.com. Despite its relatively slim 99 mm waist, the Nina provides an abundance of versatility.
