150+ Evacuated from Winter Park Colorado Gondola Due to Technical Malfunction

More than 150 people were safely evacuated from the Winter Park, Colorado gondola after a technical malfunction disrupted operations. Learn more about the incident and how it was resolved.

Between 150-175 people were rescued from the gondola at Winter Park in Colorado Saturday afternoon after staff discovered a cracked piece of metal on a lift tower. While some visitors waited over 4 hours to be repelled from the gondola, those rescued were offered a $10 gift card to Winter Park for their troubles. Gift cards aside, we're just glad no one was hurt!
