As the the sun sets earlier each day, and talk of El Nino dances across the lips of eager skiers, we are again reminded of the cycle of life in a ski town. This short Living Rivers is produced by Max Lowe for Epic Montana, explores this rhythm of recreation in the mountains of the American West. In the winter, thousands surf earth's natural contours on snow. When the warmer weather hits, a smaller group flocks to the river to surf the standing waves of Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana.

It is described best in the beginning of the short, "with surfing there is no end, just a continuous evolution..."
