December in Nazaré Looks Absolutely Terrifying

Nazaré, Portugal is home to big wave surfing at it finest. It’s where Garrett Mcnamara broke the world record for biggest wave ever surfed by riding a 100-foot monster in 2013. This year’s Nazaré Challenge was no different, with the likes of Kai Lenny, Zac Haynes, and a few other dedicated madmen riding the gnarliest, biggest waves in the world.

This edit from RedBull gives a unique perspective on just how huge the Atlantic swell gets here, and how hard it is to ride it.
