In spring 2010, Marie-France Roy broke her C2 vertebrate while filming for Absinthe in the Whistler backcountry. Sidelined for much of the following year, Roy decided to build a cob house with her brother, Alex, on Vancouver Island where she spends her off-seasons.
To built the cob for her home, Roy mixed local sand, clay, and straw. She insulated her house with recycled bottles, reclaimed wood, and broken sidewalk pieces. In the second segment of this three-part series, she gives us an inside look at her Vancouver Island paradise.
