Spanish ski mountaineer Kilian Jornet just reshared a creative line he skied last year and it's impressive, to say the least. Jornet eased out this inventive line with steep skiing guide Vivian Bruchez on Aiguille du Chardonnet, a mountain in the Mont Blanc massif on the French-Swiss border.
"Steep skiing is not about degrees, 45°, 50°, 60°... is not about grades but about the vision and creativity to find a line to ski in an ocean of rock and ice," Jornet wrote on Facebook.
The descent, named "The Vire de Lune" (the Ledge of the Moon), was 850 meters long, 55 degrees and took two separate ascents to complete. The two had skied the same South West face of the mountain a few months before but decided to try out a totally different route last March to complete what was a truly humbling experience for both men.
