Mad River Glen Reports Killer Mid-May Dump

Snow reporters at Mad River Glen, VT, America's only skier-owned mountain, didn't let this year's lack of goods get them down. Instead, the witty Vermonters turned the crappy into comedy, effecting clever spins on weather reports. They even made a YouTube channel. They're that pro.  

While we're right on the heels of June, weather stations in Colorado are forecasting 1 to 2 feet of snow in the state's southern mountains this week. That's more than Vermont had all winter!

MRG, however, had a sick overnight dump on Sunday. In fact, the white stuff fell so hard that, according to the ski area's busy snow reporters, no chairs would be opening. Or something like that. Grass may also have been an issue. 

But hey, snow's snow, and as grandma always said, "Beggars can't be choosers."
