Fischer Drops Beefed-Up Freeride Touring Boot for 16/17

Matt Berkowitz walks us through the new freeride and backcountry offerings from Fischer, including the Ranger 108 ski, where they've milled out the top of the ski and channels within the core for big weight savings. He also shows off Fischer's Profoil polyurethane skin, which completely repels water and uses a pattern from their nordic skis that bites into the snow on sidehills.

Matt showed off the Transalp TS Pro, a new 102-mm lasted touring boot with alpine buckles and power strap designed to drive a bigger ski in the backcountry, with a 200 gram weight penalty over Fischer's other Transalp boots, and the Traverse Carbon weight weeny touring boot, coming it at under 1,000 grams with a custom Boa latchet system on the forefoot with brass pulleys for minimizing friciton and a waterproof gaiter for keeping your feet warm and dry.
