This weekend in Lourdes, France, Aaron Gwin hammered through an absolutely gnarly first World Cup downhill track of the 2015 season, pointing it straight through some of the most ruthless rock gardens on the course and securing an American win by four seconds over France's Loic Bruni.

Gwin was the overall World Cup champion in 2011 and 2012, but lost the crown the last two years to Canadian Steve Smith and Great Britan's character of a racer, Josh "Ratboy" Bryceland. Gwin tends to set up his suspension a bit stiffer than most so he can skip over gnarly sections instead of absorbing them, and you can see what that means for his speed when he's on form. Booya!
