Remember looking at the world through a child's eyes. Rivers and streams were not something you passed over in a car, but magical estuaries of imagination and potential. What could you find upstream? Under this rock? Or around the next bend? The infinite potential of these byways became a playground for the smaller, wilder versions of our current selves.
