The Rode NTG-2 is a condenser shotgun microphone. The NTG-2 is ideal for mounting directly on video cameras. It can operate from an internal 1.5V AA battery or external +48V phantom source. Being a shotgun mic, the super-cardioid polar pattern minimizes off-axis noise, good for when using the NTG-2 in noisy ambient environments. The NTG-2’s frequency response covers 20-20,000 Hz, with an optional high pass filter at 80Hz to prevent excess handling noise.
