The Great Ascent pants are the perfect amount of baggy for a non-restrictive day of pow destruction or park slaying. The GORE-TEX shell is essential for maximum storm day protection and breathability while the insulated (lined) ass makes even the most frigid chairlift rides or snow lounging seem tropical. I also really like the strategically placed right thigh pocket which is perfect for trail maps or a mid-day snack.
The Oakley Great Ascent pants should definitely be on your short list this season. If you’re not looking for bibs, I would recommend these in a second.
