According to the American Avalanche Institute, the snowboarder in this video triggered a 36-inch hard slab. R2 D2.5. Aspect: southeast. Elevation: 10,150'. Slope angle: >45. The slide occured about 11:30 a.m. No one was caught in the slide.
There have been four avalanche deaths in America this season and a couple more in Canada. Heads up.
