Video: Pucker Face Avalanche Outside Jackson Hole Mountain Resort

This clip shows of a group of riders who, on Monday, January 2, 2012, chose to ski Pucker Face in the Jackson Hole backcountry in "considerable" avalanche conditions.

According to the American Avalanche Institute, the snowboarder in this video triggered a 36-inch hard slab. R2 D2.5. Aspect: southeast. Elevation: 10,150'. Slope angle: >45. The slide occured about 11:30 a.m. No one was caught in the slide.

There have been four avalanche deaths in America this season and a couple more in Canada. Heads up.
