Orage Gibson Bib Pants Review

The new Orage Gibson bib pants pair perfectly with the JP Pro jacket or can be rocked with any other high-performance shell. If you’re into deep powder backcountry skiing or you’re getting some big storms at your local resort (that definitely didn’t happen much last season), look no further than these Gibsons. I have sifted through piles of gear so far for this season and these are easily some of the best.

The Gibsons feature the same GORE-TEX Pro Shell 3-Ply stretch fabric that the JP Pro features for maximum performance in the elements, are super comfortable and move fluidly with you as you move (whether you’re hiking or skiing). Some of the highlights I discovered are the slightly askew cargo pockets which makes them easier to get into on a lift, the inner and outer vented legs work great, they are slightly lined for extra warmth as you sit on a chilly chair and the right chest pocket is mighty convenient for items that you don’t want to find frozen by the end of the day.

Even though I’m really pumped on these pants overall, I would really like to see the Velcro up the front of the bibs to be swapped out for zippers. I’m still not sold on the durability of Velcro over the long haul. You should also note that the Orage “Performance Fit” on these pants makes them run smaller than normal larges. I’m 6’ tall and need to upsize to an XL pair of Gibsons due to the shorter than average leg length. At the end of the day, the Gibson’s are rad and are very worthy of your consideration.
