Vans Infuse Boa Snowboard Boot Review

At first glance, the new Infuse boot from Vans looks like a vintage mountaineering boot, with a full wrap of beefy rubber around a premium leather body. To add to its old school class it has regular laces and a removable power strap.

Dynafit Mercury Alpine Touring Ski Boot Review

I've written a bit about the Dynafit Mercury in a previous article for TGR. In brief, it's an alpine touring boot made by Dynafit that has tech fittings, is part of their 'Free Touring' line and therefore designed to be both about the up and down, has a retail price of $800 and weighs approximately 1600g. The Mercury is the more affordable derivative of the Dynafit Vulcan boot.

DC Status Snowboard Boot 2012 Review

Feet, prepare to be stoked. Like a gift from the heavens, the top shelf Status boot from DC is all about all day comfort and balls-out performance. It’s the boot of choice for Mr. Travis Rice, which for some is all they need to know. But if you’re like me, it takes more than a pro endorsement to get me in a pair of boots. Let me break it down.

Full Tilt Seth Morrison Pro Model Ski Boots Review

Seth Morrison says he’s been skiing the same boots for the past 22 years, and I now understand why. The Full Tilt pro model that bears his name features FT's 3-piece construction, which provides a more natural flex and is comparably lighter weight (they weigh 1,999 grams/boot) than the more traditional (1-piece) overlap boots you're probably used to. The boots feature a unique cable buckle system that more evenly distributes your weight. Additionally, the buckles themselves are mounted on a track that has as many as 14 increments, allowing for very precise adjustment. The Seth Morrisons come with moldable Intuition liners that are industry leading in comfort and warmth. This combination of construction, buckles and liners yields a level of control and responsiveness that I haven't experienced from any other boot.

Burton SLX 2012 Boot Review

Imagine a house constructed of steel and stone, but with a padded interior made of memory-foam. That's what you get with the Burton SLX: superior comfort surrounded by a stable and supportive S4 outer shell — built from the same material found in bullet-proof vests. The liner flexes and forms ideally, and the outer shell won't budge any more than necessary. Burton did us a solid here. Just ask Mr. Haakonsen — it's no wonder these are his go-to sole-supporters.

Nordica FireArrow F1 Ski Boot Review

I’ll admit it. I love testing every type of ski equipment except for boots. Why? Because boot testing is physically painful, you have to be custom fitted for each pair and it takes considerable time before you know if a boot actually works well or not. I have put the Nordica Firearrow F1 Boot through the ringer so far this season and these boots stand up.

Dalbello Krypton Pro ID Ski Boot Review

I have found my new go-to boot. The Dalbello Krypton Pro ID Boots are where it’s at when it comes to performance and comfort.

2011 Full Tilt First Chair Ski Boots Review

I use these boots almost every weekend. They are great for everything from shoulder-deep powder turns to icy night bombers. They are so light-weight that making quick turns through trees is like bombing blown out powder moguls.

Burton Ambush Snowboard Boots 2011 Review

These boots are INSANELY light weight. By shredding as much excess material as possible, the Burton team created a boot that fits well, keeps your foot warm, and improves the connection between your board & your body with its reduced thickness footbed.

The North Face Men's Nuptse Bootie III Review

I love this boot... it has the look of a classic tent bootie, but has a durable and light weight rubber sole that can put on some serious miles. While traveling I often try and minimize the number of shoes I bring, but on a ski trip you have to have your ski boots, a pair of shoes and some sort of boot to kick around town while its dumping.
