Concussions are stupid. Multiple concussions can make you stupid. That’s why I’m such a huge proponent of wearing a helmet while skiing. However, I don’t actually enjoy actually wearing a helmet since they’re usually heavy and cumbersome. Enter the POC Fornix. The Fornix gives you the sensation of wearing a beanie while also providing you with the best head protection available.

Utilizing protection in many aspects of life is essential. You don’t want to drive around in a Chevy Corvair, skydive without a backup shoot or extend a super sketchy date into the next morning. That’s just plain stupid. Skiing without a helmet is also not too smart either. I have had multiple friends whose lives have been saved through helmet usage and always wear one when I go shred.

I took the POC Cortex Flow helmet out not expecting anything special. I mean, it’s a helmet. It fit my head. I liked the style of it, so I got it, end of story, right? But when I actually shredded with the helmet on, I realized it was worlds better than my SixSixOne full-face. Basically, with this helmet, I’m able to ride with a higher level of comfort and stay cool.

I have been sporting my new POC Lobes goggles with new POC helmet and I’m sold. The spherical lenses are phenomenal, the field of vision is expansive and the anti-fog and anti-scratch treatments eliminate annoyances.
