I have a ton of apps on my phone that range from games, to camera tools, weather data and everything in between. One of my favorite go to apps is the TNF Snow report app. It has tons of cool features and the price is right; Free Fifty! Seriously though, TNF has continued to add features and update this app over the two years I have owned it. The main components are resort snowfall reports and weather info. Everyone needs to know the latest in these areas. Where the app goes beyond is additional features. They have tied Facebook and Twitter updates right into the app. Not only can you send in reports, but you can pull updates from other users related to the resort you are interested in. This is the true real time report when people are using it regularly.
Another super cool feature is that you can track your days on a particular mountain. Basically any day you ride that hill you just hit a track button and it keeps track for you. Don't have a trail map? No problem. The app has maps for most major resorts. Additionally, the app links you to the local avalanche forecast for your area. Oh yeah, it also connects your desired resort to google maps so you can pull directions to the resort right off your phones. How did we do it in the days before the web and cell phones? I don't know, but you don't need to think about it when you have robust apps like this. Thanks TNF!
