Garywayne 2013 Review
$14.95
If you are looking for a really cool summer ski trip go check out Beartooth Pass. The Pass is closed in the winter and is one of the wildest roads in the country, topping out at 11,000 ft. There are two old school Polma lifts at the top of the pass that service 600 acres and 1,000 vertical ft. of steeps, race lanes, and terrain parks. The area does not open every year, but this year it is going to open. Season Passes are $185 and day tickets are $45. The road access skiing is unreal. I recommend any Beartooth trip to include a mix of the ski area and runs on the Pass. You can road access up to 3,000 vertical of steeps and couliours. There are multiple lodging options. There is a super cool camp area right at the base of the base. The town of Red Lodge has great hotels that are super cheap up to some more expensive options. Any trip to Beartooth would not be complete without a stop at the Snow Creek Saloon. TGR filmed the opening scene to Tangerine Dream in Red Lodge. If you are familiar with the TGR classic, you will notice many of the locations around town that are in the film. We logged a ton of time at the Snow Creek that summer. Drop in, you will not be disappointed.
