Sage Cattabriga-Alosa's Top 10 Pieces Of Gear

Sage is one of the top skiers in the game. He could ride on anything he wants. Check out the gear he chooses and read what he has to say about it.

Skis: 186 Atomic Automatic

I use the Automatic for almost any day. The shape, flex, and construction allow for optimal flotation in the deep, and are ready to charge when it gets tech.  At the ski area they blast through the chop, and cruise on the groomed.

Boots: Atomic Burner 130

The Burner has some cool features, one the Live Fit panel that's inserted into the shell on the outside of the foot. this allows for some natural flexing of the toe box to fit a variety of foot sizes. its stiff and performance driven design, active sole and ratchet power strap make this boot bomber.

Bindings: Atomic Tracker 16

The Tracker binding is burly enough to handle the beating of the ski area and then is maximized for the sidecountry and backcountry missions with its easy switch between ski and climb mode.

Hat/Helmet: Smith Vantage

This Helmet is my favorite because of the venting options. It has two adjustable vents that regulate your temperature from sitting-on-the-chair-in-a-storm, to hiking-with-your-helmet-on.

Jacket/Shell: The North Face Cymbiant Jacket

This jacket is a well built, non-insulated, shell, that performs as a backcountry piece, and is tough enough to handle a day on the Sled. The Fit is large with extended length over most of their other jackets, and big inside pockets on both side are a hit with me, gloves, goggles, skins, or coolies, can be quickly stashed

Pants:The North Face Freedom Pant

The Freedom Pant is comfortable and warm, cargo pockets stash lenses, sunscreen and food easily.

Goggles-Smith I/O Evolve series:

Love the quick interchangeability of the I/O goggle. I always carry a extra lens or two in my pocket, or backpack and can change a lens in a flash.

Backpack: The North Face Patrol 24 ABS

Air Bag Systems are the way of the future, these devices can greatly aid in surviving an avalanche but should not effect your backcountry travel decision. This pack keeps the weight of both the system, and your gear well balanced and distributed across your back. Well placed compression straps allows you to cinch the 24 L pack down considerably without interfering with the air bag deployment.

Beacon: BCA Tracker 2

Your beacon is much more valuable to you and your crew with practice. The Tracker 2 makes practice feel good because its easy to use, and reliable, you will be fast in no time. I have my beacon with me on every trip, on almost every day, even at the ski area.
