Of all the backcountry ski gear I own, this Pabst Blue Ribbon headband
is perhaps the most important item in my backpack. I sweat a lot when I
hike in the mountains and most of that sweat comes out of my face. Since
I came of age after 1994, I think visors are as passé as soul patches
and hemp necklaces. To keep the sweat out of my eyes so that my
sunglasses don’t fog, I rock this headband. It lets the heat vent off
the top of my head but catches the sweat before it drips down in to my
eyes.
Some people may not sweat as much from their face to elicit wearing a
headband. Some people might not drink as much beer at night and try to
hike as much during the day. But if you’re burning the candle at both
ends, why not let everyone know it with this stylish all-American
accessory? It puts out a vibe that says, “Sure, I stayed up drinking
until 3:30 a.m. cavorting with loose women, but here I am at 6:30 a.m.
in the Teton Pass parking lot ready to crush powder. Let’s do this.”
Strictly for champions.
