Outdoor Research Axcess Pant Review

I really liked the Outdoor Research Men’s Axcess jacket, but I actually like the pants even better. These are definitely some of the best pants of the year.

Let’s get the formalities out of the way first. The Axcess pants feature waterproof, breathable, 2-layer 70D GORE-TEX® Performance fabric, reversed tricot lined upper legs, taffeta lined lower legs, EnduraLoft insulation in the seat and knees, a RECCO reflector, fully taped seams, inner and outer thigh vents and water-resistant zippers. As you can see, these pants are fully loaded and will keep you warm and dry.

Technical features are great, but the real question remains at the end of the day, how do the pants perform? They’re arguably some of the best pants available this winter. They have a great baggy fit that’s contemporary and practical while the articulated knees and gusseted crotch make movement easy and comfortable. The two sets of vents are also very nice when you’re hiking around all day and the reinforced ankle scuff guards are the way to go when you want your pants to last for many seasons without ski edge tears.

I highly recommend the OR Axcess pants for all of your ski or snowboard adventures this winter.
