For the second season in a row, I’m happy to announce that the Oakley Airbrakes are still my favorite goggles on the market. The optics are amazing, the lenses can be changed in a second and they look badass. So, what could make the Airbrakes even better for the 12/13 season you ask? How about a brand new Seth Morrison pro model version with skulls all over it? Oakley nailed it on these goggles.
One of the main reasons I love these goggles so much is because the lenses are ridiculously quick and easy to swap out. I honestly haven’t seen a better system for swapping out goggle lenses than Oakley’s Switchlock Technology system. The lenses pop out in no time which allows you to always be prepared for any possible changing weather conditions. You can get all ADD with your lenses if you want to. Why not?
In addition to the Switchlock system, the Airbrake’s incorporate Oakley’s best frame (in my opinion), killer lenses that reduce glare and anti-fog moisture wicking fleece which create a crisp, clear view as you slay the powder or hike the pipe. I also really like the zippered Oakley storage case that comes with these since it’s better than a goggle bag alone and great for storing your additional lenses I really have no negative things to say about the Airbrakes. They’re the best goggles I’ve ever used and even though the price tag is much steeper than other goggles, I’d recommend splurging on the Airbrakes. All you’ll ever need to buy is more lenses if you want more tints or are prone to scratches like me.
