Marker Duke 16 Ski Bindings 2011 Review
Marker Duke 16 Ski Bindings Review provided by evo - "This is my third season with the Dukes and I've skiied everything from icy groomer laps at the resort to multi-night backcountry randonee trips. They've been with me in Whistler, Washington, Colorado, Montana and Wyoming.
What I like most about these bindings, and the reason that I keep returning to them, is their durability and performance. No other AT binding (that I've used) feels as solid as the Dukes on the downhill, or takes the beating of long tours and hard skiing as well. It skies like a normal binding (no looseness or rattling as with some other AT models), and with it's 4 screw toe-piece (most have 3) and wider contact points this bindings bomber construction and power transfer on wider skis will give you confidence on hairier lines where you don't want to be worrying about your binding.
This binding is an ideal fit for anyone who has one pair of skis for both resort skiing and touring. The only knock (hence the 4 instead of 5 stars, would have given 4.5 if it was an option) on this guy is it's weight. It's the trade off you make for the ""best in snow"" skiing performance and the durability/reliability. For me, it's been an easy decision."
