Burton Ambush Snowboard Boots 2011 Review
2011 Burton Ambush Snowboard Boot review provided by evo - These boots are INSANELY light weight. By shredding as much excess material as possible, the Burton team created a boot that fits well, keeps your foot warm, and improves the connection between your board & your body with its reduced thickness footbed. Dual zone speed laces ensure maximum comfort and support, no matter what style of riding. Want to burn some groomers? Pull both zones tight. Hitting the pipe? Loosen just the top zone and get full flex for super boned out frontside Indy airs.
The ONLY downsides to these boots are for people who have feet like mine: wide (or fat.) If you have wider feet like mine, these boots will be a little uncomfortable until you break them in. To help speed that process, I highly recommend that you get them heat molded to your foot (at your dealer or by using hair dryers) and spend at least a week putting them on and walking around for 30 minutes or so each day.
Once these boots are broken in, the light weight, adjustable flex/support of the dual zone speed laces, and thinned footbed are just three of the reasons why you'll love these boots.
