Arc'teryx Quintic 28 Backpack Fall 2012 Preview

I went through the process of buying a sidecountry backpack this past fall and walked away from it fairly disappointed. The pack I ended up buying works fine, looks okay and fits well enough, but it's nothing out of the ordinary. As such, it wasn't much of a surprise to me that packs started catching my eyes while wandering the floors of SIA this past January. The one that stood out to me the most was Arc'teryx's Quintic 28 backpack because it not only looked good, but was thoughtfully designed in a functional way that few other of today's packs seem to be.

Spyder Eiger Jacket Review

"Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee” — If Muhammed Ali were to trade in his gloves in for the newest top of the line ski jacket, he would definitely rock the Spyder Eiger. The Eiger is a versatile, techy, hard shell that, when layered appropriately, is warm enough for the coldest days Jackson Hole can produce. Yet, it is breathable and light enough for any mid-March day on the beach at A-Basin.

Coreupt Slasher Skis Review

Pure Fun. That’s how the Coreupt Slasher skis should be described. Richard Permin has designed one of the most versatile skis that I’ve ever used. The Slasher skis (131mm x 112mm x 128mm) are great in pow, on groomers, in the air and anywhere else you’ll want to go during a day on the hill. The Slasher is quite possibly the best one ski quiver on the market. I have taken this ski everywhere on the mountain and it excels everywhere you’ll want to go.

Marine Layer Lined Hoodie Review

Marine Layer is a small, sustainably and U.S. made clothing brand out of San Francisco with a very bright future. Eco-friendly is thrown around way too much these days and even the most toxic products claim they’re good for the Earth. Also, most of the clothing companies that claim to be good for the environment also have the styling of a reusable grocery bag. Well, Marine Layer breaks this mold and takes sustainability and style to the next level.

FD Wear Vertika Jacket Review

When it comes to the FD Wear, there is just one jacket type, the Vertika, however there is a plethora of color choices to choose from. So, if you like the cut and look of the Vertika jacket, then you can pick the exact jacket color and arm color (they fully zip off) that you want to enhance your personal style of skiing.

Armada AK JJ Ski Review

Thank You ARMADA! I wanted to get on a pair of JJ’s for a while, but was always hesitant due to their not being available in a length that was to my liking. They were always too short. Well, that all changed this season with the AK version of the JJ. I’m so glad that ARMADA made this change and it was definitely worth the wait.

K2 Slayblade Snowboard Review

A great man by the name of Daniel Tosh said, “It’s impossible to frown on a jet ski.” Whether you are jibbing, jumping, hucking, hopping, stomping, sliding, popping or pressing, this same analogy applies to the jet ski as the intelligently designed Slayblade. You seriously would have to try to not have fun on this board.
