Directed by Craig Griffin, Uncharted Waters is a feature length documentary about legendary Australian surfer Wayne Lynch. It traces his upbringing in the seaside town of Lorne on Victoria's south western coast and his turbulent experiences as a 'conscientious objector' on the run from conscription and the Vietnam War. Ultimately, it is about an extremely gifted individual with an intense connection to the Southern Ocean, whose approach to surfing has been a spiritual journey often putting him at odds with the surfing subculture and society in general.
Premiere tour coming this summer to the U.S, Europe and Australia.

Kohl Christensen and Danilo Couto chase a massive swell to Ireland where they are greeted by snow, hail, rain and huge barrels. While Kohl Christensen and Danilo Couto were in Ireland, a much larger swell formed off the coast. The forecast was calling for huge, windy seas, but the chance there might be a window to surf kept them where they were. It was the right call, and it brought them some of the biggest, craziest surf they'd seen all year.

Huge news (literally) from our friends at Conservacion Patagonica: "In one of the largest land donations in Argentine history, Conservacion Patagonica donated Estancia El Rincon to the national parks system of Argentina today." The 37,500-acre El Rincon will expand Perito Moreno National Park and provide access to the still unclimbed south face of San Lorenzo, Patagonia's second highest peak. A picture often deserves a thousand words, but usually we only have the caption space for 20 or 25. In the case of our summer catalog cover photo, featuring ambassador Kimi Werner, there was barely enough space to include the name of the location: Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument. It was a special opportunity for Kimi to dive there and help the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) provide public outreach and education. Papahānaumokuākea holds great cultural importance to native Hawaiians and the sensitive habitat is home to many rare species. In 2012, NOAA collected 50 metric tons of marine debris that was threatening the ecosystem, something they've been doing every year since 1996.
