We hosted our annual NYC May showroom at the Milk Made studio’s Penthouse on May 15-16, 2013. The showroom spotlighted the Burton’s Fall/Winter 14 line while also including a Spring/Summer 2013 moment. Tons of media stopped by throughout the two-day event to preview the collections and on the night of May 16th, we kicked off Summer by throwing a rooftop party with 500 of our NYC based friends. Big thanks to TheGoodLife for all of their help.

A place like Mt. Baker is already basically a natural snowboard park for any riders, but for someone like Nicolas Müller, it's heaven. Bouncing, buttering, and jumping off everything, it was hard to keep up with him for these follow cam shots, but watching him send it further and bigger than everyone else was jaw dropping.

Even though the 2014 Sochi Olympics are still a ways away, Mark McMorris is already getting a lot of attention about what he could do for his native Canada. At a recent shoot in Whistler, Mark demonstrated some of the skills that are making him Canada's Olympic poster-child. Olympics or not, Mark looks pretty good in the air, and here's proof.

Maybe not on a lot of people's vacation lists, but when you're a pro snowboarder, spending a week in Anchorage can be highly productive. Since snow was at a premium for most of the country last year, most of the urban riding had to be done in Alaska, and a lot of banger footage from our 49th state was the result. By the end of the season, Jeremy Jones, Mark Sollors, Zak Hale, and Ethan Deiss were pretty much AK loc-dogs.

Burton Snowboards has continued to progress the snowboard learning experience by building Playtime at the Burton Riglet Park at the Jay Peak Resort in Northern Vermont. Playtime at the Burton Riglet Park engages kids in a positive introductory snowboarding experience. Young riders as young as 3 can learn in a fun, interactive environment that features wood carvings of iconic characters from Disney·Pixar's Toy Story. By maneuvering over, under, around, and through the sculpted terrain and features, balance, weight transfer, edging and freestyle are learned through fun and play. Check out this video that explains the layout of the park and how the Riglet Park helps to get kids on boards and moving in a sideways direction.

Cab 900s are a good looking trick, but doing a cab 9 like Danny Davis, Mikkel Bang, Marko Grilc, Christian Haller, Mark McMorris, Seppe Smits, Peetu Piiroinen, and Roope Tonteri would probably still be pretty hard. Flat spins, cork spins, double cork spins, and even Seppe's crazy spin-rewind thing all look good during these spring park sessions from last season.

Having a garbage can by your desk is really convenient; throw everything in there and it’s gone by morning. But that convenience creates an un-sortable mix of trash, and it all ends up in the dumpster. Burton held an event on Friday encouraging employees to ditch their desk garbage cans in favor of using the separated cans in each office. It might not quite feel like it yet, but it's spring. OK, maybe not technically, but Burton just launched its latest spring/summer apparel line and it's really got us thinking about short sleeves, warm temps, and cool buzzes. While some places in the country have a couple more months of riding ahead of them, come mid-March the hills in VT start to look a little green and we can't help but get into spring-mode. Burton's spring/summer apparel line is rooted in the summer vacation mentality: staying out late with your friends, stirring up some trouble, and just letting go of responsibility. Not all of us can actually do those things, but you can at least wear the outfit for it. Take a closer look at the latest apparel line by watching this commercial to help get those summer vibes flowing.

Some of the spins these days are really getting up there. It's not uncommon to see a 12 in the pipe, a 1440 in slopestyle, or even a 1620. A lot of the riders we interviewed can do said tricks, but math is one trick you can't land by hucking yourself.
