The plan was to hang out in winter park last night, then ride Berthoud on the road bikes, then go ski St Mary's on the way back towards home. Well, that plan got shot down when it came to our attention that the keys to my friends condo had been rekeyed and nobody could get us the keys at 1am... so we left from Golden around 8 am, and on the way up to ride berthoud, we realized that there was a bunch of snow somewhere close to there that wasn't st. mary's so we decided to take the subadooo and check it out. Turns out, there were plenty of turns to be made, the weather was really nice, even though it was a little windy. I have a lot more shots... but this is just a little teaser.
Before we got to to the going down part... there was a little naked summit action... part of a project my friends are doing. I cannot post those pictures, but I will figure out a way to give you a taste...
Lauren enjoying some fresh snow... there was plenty out there...
After we got down, we went to the Dairy King and ate grilled cheeses, cheese fries, and ice cream, then went back and got on our bikes to ride up Berthoud. It was a nice ride, with the wind on our backs all the way up. The way down, i'm glad I had a jacket and gloves, cause it was windy...
I saw how the construction on the new warming hut is coming... looks really nice. I will post some pictures of that when I get them from Lauren.
