Reasons why I am more stoked for PNW than anything else I've seen so far.

    1. Banff (I spy SSV)
    2. Kevin Hjertaas (the face that he is skiing is visible as soon as you hit the turn off for sunshine, I've stared at it for years.)
    3. Colin Pukas
    4. Golden!
    5. Heim
    6. Leblanc.

    Finally.

    I'm buying this one.

Wow. Can't wait to see the whole thing.

General comment on ski movies: I must be getting old because I really long for filmmakers to keep the camera in one place for a little while instead of constantly flashing to a new image or angle every two or three seconds. Not really a complaint in this case because the editing is so sharp, but still...

I definitely agree. I love to see the line skied from top to bottom from a single vantage point.
It's the skiing, not the cinematography.

Every year your skills as a filmmaker get better and better.
I'm really looking forward to seeing PNW.
    Strong, strong work.

Was there a shot of hitching on 542 after hitting up the firs and bagley? All the roads in the winter look similar around here. Nice work.

I think it's terrible. I mean, what happened to our coveted image of heavy snow, foul weather gear, wimpy terrain and all that was so Twin Peaks?

    Sheesh, talk about a fuckup.

Photoplay definitely had some of the smoothest editing of all the films last year, much less reliance on slomo etc., it grew on me very quickly after I had a chance to compare it to everything else. Can't wait for PNW
