    Pow dumping in Argentina

Las Lenas forecast calling for about 65cm by Wednesday
    Meanwhile, Bariloche looking quite nice!

Perhaps ELA & Split-It will have some better photos to share- but here's one from Catredal's press release:

"After many days with no snow, we now have a blanket of white"

"30 cm new at base & 60cm at summit; 160 cm season to date on the summit"

i threw up some pics the other day in the SA roll-call page, but it didn't get bumped.

    http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/s...t=86531&page=2

winter hit very suddenly. after an unusually dry fall (so im told), the snow started falling friday and hasn't really let up too much. i'd say 8 inches so far of wet snow (occasionally rain) at lake level. up high i heard from a guy who heard from a guy (great source, huh) who said that as of sunday, there was at least a meter of snow up top (edit: never trust what any resort says, especially if it's in SA). i can believe it. might try to poach by getting up using the pedestrian cable carril, which runs throughout the year, although they will probably "me rompa las pelotas" about bringing my board with me. che boludos.

currently steadily dumping, though. buses are slow, crappy plow service, and lots of amazing gaper outfits downtown. damn, i love this town.

That thing scares me. Not as much as the "tram" some goofball back East made out of a bus, but it's up there.

"me rompa las pelotas" means literally, to break my balls.

che boludo, on the other hand, isn't so easily translated. when you get here, just yell it at some "chabon" and im sure he will politely explain it to you...."forro" (which loosely translated, means used condom. that concludes argentine castellano 101)

Since the skies are clearing, thought a couple real time shots might be appreciated. Things are looking very winter like!
