    TR: Eurostoke H-Tux 5-30-2007

i think it's time for me to write my first tr here on tgr,
    i hope you like it...

after the big storm over europe the last week, it was time to join the last cold and fresh snow...

problem was to find a skiarea with accepteable vertical drop an open lifts!

    e.berg: closed.
    pitztal: closed.
    zermatt: only 1 lift running.
kauenrtal: only 3 lame lifts running.
    stubai: less vertical.
kaprun: no coverage at the freeride areas.

so we decided to take the 700km/10h (oneway !!!) journey to h-tux.

after this 10h we catched 2h of sleep and saw this when we woke up:

but we believed in the forecast. which said: clearing up!
    chairlift at 2900m:

    at 2950m

there were very strong winds and the clouds did not clear up so fast, but it was enough to find some nice terrain (it was our first time there)

    some riding into the clouds

as the sun was getting stronger, and the clouds were moving it was time to get some nice shots

    the obligatory scenic shot

scroll down for some more pics (sorry for beeing lame writing in english etc)

    some work:

but it was worth it, i think...

    the shot

    AND look at this: http://www.myvideo.de/watch/1586303

the day was almost over. we catched the last ride to the top, did a 5 min hike and skied over the closed pist down.

arriving at the gondola at 5 pm the "liftbügelgeber" were not so amused because they were closed since 30 min. but they managed to get us a private run down the valley. private gondola for my skis :-)

down in the valley. just chilling

the next day begann promising. but while taking a breakfast, lots of clouds were coming. so we decided to go home.
near the higway t Schaffhausen we took a short look at the Rheinfall.

    i hope you enjoyed viewing.

thanks to uli, the snowboarder from freiburg for taking so many amazing pictures!!! it was fun to ride with you again.

i got a nice liitle vid from him. but dont know how to upload it...help?
