I only post another Sayres TR because it was so good. This
would be a mountain to put on your list. North facing, tons of
good lines, and incredible views.
The descent was well worth the effort getting there. We went off
the main face just under the top of the peak. This top section was
a bit wind blown so if you put any aggression into your turns there
was a lot of debris coming with you. Once in the couloir itself, the
snow softened into spring goodness. You could get about 8 inches
into the snow with each turn. Time to let her rip.

The damage.
The approach was straightforward: up the LaPlata trail, a right
into the main basin, and follow it all the way to Sayres. We started
around 7:45 so the snow was still firm and granular in the trees.
There were a couple longer dirt spots that were easier to boot but
you could skin the vast majority of the way. The snow in the basin
was great for skinning. When we got onto the apron, it started to
get really sticky but we continued skinning most of the way up. The
ascent took about 5 hours but you could cut this time down
signficantly with a little focus.
The snow in the basin was completely rotten. It was collapsing
everywhere so it was a bit of an effort to get out. We booted out
once on the LaPlata trail again. An earlier start or faster ascent
would save a lot of effort on the way down.
when we spoke Friday, I think you may have found better snow conditions than what we did on Square Top.
