I pulled my truck into the garage with the sun shade up once.

Last time I flew in a heli was in Nigeria, flying offshore to an oil rig with my dad in a monsoon-like storm. (Dad works in the oil biz). The pilot was an odd duck to say the least, from Idaho Falls and a Vietnam vet. When we took off from the rig, you couldn't see a damn thing. I got to ride in the copilot seat. When we took off, he asked me if I knew which way shore was, and I think he was only halfway kidding. He made us all wear life jackets, "just in case". It was a crazy ride.

Good thing you did not pay for the day. That would have been a bit painful.

Bah, that's so lame Griz. I got to shoot ghetto glamor pics of my fiancee using damn near every lamp in the house because she needed a head shot by 9 am. The overhead track lighting was so brutal I taped white paper over the lamps as a diffuser. To add insult to injury I had to use Walgreens online photo service in order to get a print in an hour.

I'm jealous, and I won't make any snide comments to cover up the fact.

Although the ones that did appear in this thread made me laugh quite a bit.

Snow was as good as you could expect for not having seen a storm in the past decade. We skied pretty mellow stuff, and to be honest--didn't really get much action stoke. It wasn't a super photog friendly day--as it seemed we were always in a hurry--for what I don't know. I was with some journalists for work, so it wasn't like I had some ripping athletes to shoot--but it was still a riot. Sheesh--how much can one complain after getting paid to go heliskiing? But he threw them with his bare hands, so they were entirely biodegradable, and not thrown in the watershed. So actually, he helped fertilize the earth with his stool bombs.

    That was kind of funny.
Nice work Griz, saw the bird up flying around today while we were pondering where to pursue the crappy snow. At least it was out of the inversion.
