    My pics from the deathmarch!

At the parking Lot, LeeLau gets teched out while forestjon beams with his famous Canadian smile.

The first part of the skin up was pretty mellow. (Goldenboy and LeeLau leading).

And I loved the lines I saw on this mtn. (LeeLau, not exactly sure which mtn it is- think you said it was Hartsel?)

We don't have blue ice glaciers in Colorado, so I was fascinated by the glacier on Slalok.

When the skin up started to get brutal, forestjon make sure to entertain me with his "mustache".

And shirk followed with his unibrow. (True Canadians, I tell ya!)

We ended up not making our goal.... by far We did make it up to the top of the NW ridge of Joffre on our intended route. This photo was taken from near the top of that ridge, looking back down at Lower Joffre lake and the road where we began.

When we got to the top of the ridge it was quite late, around 4 pm, and daylight was coming to an end rapidly. Also, we encountered a bit of a sketchy snowpack, with some windloaded aspects. Because of this, we don't have many ski photos. I managed to take a picture of this slide that forestjon set off (intentionally). If you look close you can see the crown and slide path.

I also thought this line looked pretty fun!

Thanks to LeeLau for giving us a proper LeeLau tour, and thanks to forestjon and shirk for the added Canadian experience! You boys all rock! I was so glad to have met you and to tour with all of you.

mbsc - That's actually Mt Taylor front and Mt Tszil back.

in the pic with the blue ice glacier - that's Mt Slalok.

We'll be trying to bag all those sometime in spring when there's more light - as you found out - the days up north are very short at this time of the year. Roadtrip?

This is the view you'd get if the weather was better

Dude if your eyebrows grow that much you got issues...and will fit in perfect with our touring crew.

I think that was the most work I had done in one day for the least amount of turns in DEEEEEEP snow. There is some seriously epic tree skiing pillow heaven up there. Next time.

A girl really doesn't need that kind of visual.
I really hope that isn't a sign of the future

It was great to meet you guys and skin/bootpack up with you. You really should come back and we'll try skiing down next time.

Thanks for putting up all the photos, everyone. If I was at home I would add to it, especially the shot of MBSC's mad skinning steeze Stay warm on your next mission out Fissile way, today was pretty cold and it's only supposed to get colder, but that should just tighten up the snowpack and make for some good times. Hope to ski with you guys agoain before I leave.
